Astrologist, Holocaust revisionist and... Respect member

University College London has sensibly withdrawn a researcher’s fellowship after he published an article claiming that the gas chambers of Auschwitz never existed. Nicholas Kollerstrom posted the article, 'The Auschwitz “Gas Chamber” Illusion', on the website of the revisionist Committee for Open Debate on the Holocaust. He is also a keen astrologer.

Money quote: "Some of my best friends are Jewish." No, I made that up. Here it is:
“I have some very good Jewish friends and have never had the slightest interest in the Nazi movement,” he said. “I never go to Germany. I have always belonged to things like the Green Party, CND and Respect.”
Says it all really.

Never heard of this bloke in my 8 years in the Green Party - he certainly isn't a current member of the Green Party in London. And the Green Party is most definitely not into holocaust denial!

Pssst - that would be "astrologER", not "astrologist".

"I have always belonged to things..."

Says it all really. Astrologist, astrologer - who cares, the important thing is that he is healthy...

"pssst" is wrong.

A practitioner of astrology is called an astrologer or an astrologist.

"astrology 1. the study that assumes, and professes to interpret the influence of the stars and planets upon human existence.
2. Obsolete, astronomy. —astrologer, astrologist, n. —astrological, adj."

n : someone who predicts the future by the positions of the
planets and sun and moon [syn: astrologer]"

If there is anything more annoying than someone nit-picking over a spelling error is when that someone is in error him or herself.

just checked - this guy hasn't been a member of the Green Party in at least 10 years, but he may have been a member back in the 80s or early 90s.
