Hannah Baneth
The Deptford Sector police are organising a memorial event for Hannah Baneth (see her obituary here) on Wednesday evening at the Civic Centre.
I recently found a Guardian article from 2001 about Hannah which I managed to miss. "Hannah Baneth's story is sadly typical of the kind of treatment meted out to many council tenants by paternalistic town hall pen-pushers over the past 30 years.
